How to Get and Install the Discovery Plus App on Fire TV
Since there’s an official Discovery Plus app for Fire TV, getting and installing it works the same as installing any other official Fire TV app. You can get it directly on your Fire TV device, as long as it’s connected to the internet.
Here’s how to get Discovery Plus on your Fire TV device:
From the home screen, press left on your controller to select the search icon.
Start typing Discovery Plus with the on-screen keyboard, and select Discovery Plus or Discovery Plus App from the results when it shows up.
Select Discovery+.
Select Get or Download.
If you’ve installed Discovery Plus on any Fire TV device in the past, you’ll see Download. If you’ve never installed it before, you’ll see Get.
Wait for the app to download and install, and select Open.
Select Start 7-Day Free Trial, or Sign In.
If you have an account and signed in on this step, you’re done. Otherwise, continue to finish getting the app set up.
If you don’t have an account yet, select Discovery+ or Discovery+ (Ad-Free).
Enter your email, choose a password, and select Agree and Continue.
Select Start 1 week free trial.
If you don’t cancel the subscription within seven days, Discovery Plus will charge your credit card.
Discovery Plus is ready to watch on your Fire TV device.
Type Discovery Plus into the search field, and press enter or click the magnifying glass.
Click or tap Discovery+ in the search results.
Click or tap the deliver to drop down menu.
Select the Fire TV device on which you would like to install Discovery Plus.
Click or tap Get App or Deliver.
If you’ve never installed this app before, you’ll see Get App. If you’ve installed it in the past, you’ll see Deliver. Selecting additional devices and clicking Deliver again will queue the app for installation on those devices.
If your Fire TV device is on and connected to the internet, the app will automatically queue, download, and install.
