Solution 2. Change the Network Settings

There are numerous reasons why users have been encountering Discord stuck on connecting screen error and one of them could be your internet connection or proxy settings. There are multiple users who have claimed to have fixed this issue by changing the network settings.

If you don’t know how to change the network settings then you need to follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Right-Click on the Windows Start menu and select Settings from the list.

Step 2: In the pop-up window, you will see multiple options but you will have to click on ‘Network & Internet’.

Step 3: From the left panel, you will have to switch to the Proxy. Upon clicking on Proxy, a new window will appear on the right side. Make sure to turn off the option Use a Proxy server under the Manual Proxy Setup part.

Step 1: Press both Windows and R keys together to bring up the Run dialogue box. When the box appears, type ncpa.cpl and press enter.

Step 2: As soon as you press Enter, all of the internet connections will be shown on your screen. What all you need to do is to select the Internet connection that you are using and select Properties.

Step 3: Scroll down until you see Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPV4) option. Double click on it and check on the option Use the Following DNS Server Addresses.

Step 4: Now change the DNS server addresses to the following addresses:

Preferred DNS Server: 8.8.8.8 Alternate DNS Server: 8.8.4.4

Step 5: Click on Ok to save the changes.

Solution 4. Allow Discord Running Through Firewall

Step 1: Open Control Panel and select Windows Defender Firewall.
