How Do I Feature a Person Less Often in Photos in iOS 15?

If you’ve found there’s someone on your Photos People album that you’d like to see less, it’s fairly simple to include them less frequently on the Photos app as well as the related Home Screen widget. Here’s how to set it up.

  • Open the Photos app.
  • Tap Albums.
  • Tap People.
  • Tap the person you wish to feature less.
  • Tap the ellipsis in the top right corner.
  • Tap Feature less.
  • Tap Feature This Person Less.

Can I Block Someone in Photos Memories?

If you’d prefer to block someone from your Photos Memories entirely, so they don’t show up in any way, the process is very similar. Here’s how to do so.

This action doesn’t remove the photos from your iPhone or iCloud account, but it does mean they feature less frequently in your memories and any related widgets.

Open the Photos app.

If you’d also like to feature a specific day or place less often because of bad memories, it’s straightforward to set up. Here’s how to feature specific memories less often.

Again, this doesn’t delete the photos, but it does block them from your memories and ensure they don’t appear even if the person features them as part of a group photo. 

Tap the person you wish to block.

Tap Feature less. 

Tap Never Feature This Person.

The person will now never feature in memories again.

Return to the ellipsis and tap Remove from People to remove them from your People tab.

  • Open the Photos app.
  • Tap For You.
  • Tap the ellipsis next to the relevant memory.
  • Tap Feature Less.
  • Tap Delete Memory to permanently delete it.
  • Tap Confirm to feature the memory less often.

How to Feature Someone Again in Photos

Regretted your choice and want to see the person in your memories again? Here’s how to reset your Memories settings.

Tap For You.

Tap the ellipsis next to the relevant memory.

Tap Feature Less.

Tap Delete Memory to permanently delete it.

Tap Confirm to feature the memory less often.
