If you’ve updated your Android to the latest version i.e. 4.4 KitKat, you must know that your device no longer supports Flash videos no matter what browser you have installed. Many websites don’t use flash anymore, still it can’t be said that the number of flash websites is insignificant. However, there is an easy workaround courtesy of Senior Xda member- Surviveland.  It seems in the android 4.4 the critical APIs concerning Flash has been removed and Surviveland has brought us a modified version of the Flash Player that is compatible with Android 4.4 KitKat.

Make sure you have enabled installing APKs from unknown sources. For this, go to Settings » Securities > check “Unknown sources”.

Here is how you can enable Flash player in Android 4.4 KitKat :

  • Check If there is already a Flash player and uninstall it.  Download and install the modified flash player.
  • Install Dolphin Browser Here
  • Turn on flash in Dolphin Browser settings. For this, open dolphin browser and press menu  and select “Settings” » Web Content » Make sure “Flash Player” is turned on

Now you can enjoy flash videos in your Android phone or tablet via Dolphin browser for Android.
